LSSI is hiring a full-time Child Welfare Assistant, Monday through Friday. Under the general supervision of the program director or designee, perform a variety of social work, group and outreach activities to individuals and families.

- Perform all tasks as required in the written plan.
- Meet productivity requirements as established by the Program Director or designee.
- Provide client monitoring and linkage to appropriate services both within LSSI and other community agencies.
- Complete and submit all necessary reports, billing, and documentation accurately and on time as required by agency and funding sources.
- Communicate with supervisor, work group and collateral agencies regarding individual's and/or family needs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree with two years of college preferred.
- Record of compliance with the law and clearance on the Illinois CANTS.
- Basic knowledge of child development and parenting or equivalent life experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, comprehensible manner.
- Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Access to reliable transportation for visits, meetings and to transport clients as needed.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
