Position Overview Reporting to the Director of Life Enrichment, the Life Enrichment Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of engaging programs and events designed to enhance the quality of life for residents throughout Tamarisk NorthShore. This role helps foster a vibrant, inclusive environment that promotes social interaction, lifelong learning, physical activity, creativity, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities Assist in organizing and leading daily activities such as interactive, cognitive & recreational games, fitness classes, fine art, arts and crafts, life-long learning, social events including holiday celebrations, religious & special events, and themed programs Help set up and clean up activity spaces before and after events Build positive relationships and encourage resident participation including welcoming residents as they move-in to the community Assist with community outings, including transportation coordination if needed Maintain activity supplies and ensure materials are organized and stocked Assist in promoting programming through flyers, announcements, and resident communication Complete documentation and other data entry in a timely manner Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Associate degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, liberal arts, social sciences, education, theater, or related fields. Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 1 year of experience successfully coordinating and leading group activities Previous experience working with seniors preferred Excellent computer skills-Microsoft Office & overall proficiency with technology including streaming devices, engagement & design platforms Strong organizational, time management & problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills including responding to resident requests and fostering rapport with residents, families, and staff Part-time or Full-time position with weekend hours required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Music/art therapists or music/art teachers are strongly encouraged to apply
