Our Mission Statement:

We have one full-time opening for a Life Coach at our 404 E Washington location. Starting rate of $15/hour plus shift bonuses ($1/hour for 2 nd shift, $2/hour for 3 rd shift and $3/hour for weekends). Below are the schedules needing to be filled: Full-time 2nd shift, Wednesday - Sunday, 4 p.m. - 12 a.m. Full-Time Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision 403b Savings Plan and Generous Company Match Generous Paid Time Off Paid Holidays EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Group Life Insurance Supplemental Life Insurance for Dependents Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Plans Position Description The Life Coach provides direct care, advocacy, and life coaching to participants and ensures a safe, structured, and supportive environment within The Rescue Mission's facilities. This role combines oversight of daily operations with a focus on individualized support and growth for each participant. The Life Coach should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." Key Tasks and Responsibilities Welcomes, orients, and supports participants staying at The Rescue Mission; offers emotional and spiritual support throughout their stay, assists participants with basic needs and administers drug and breathalyzer testing when necessary. Ensures safety, security, and adherence to house guidelines by conducting regular walk-throughs of the facility, supervising communal areas, and maintaining overall order and safety. Offers leadership and guidance to participants by modeling integrity and accountability and provides immediate feedback to supervisors concerning progress/challenges of Life House participants. Maintains accurate and complete records, logs, and incident reports containing pertinent information, records updated information in the electronic record and communicates relevant updates of clients to supervisors and Case Managers. Responds calmly and effectively to crisis situations, coordinating with staff and external service providers when needed. Other Duties Attend quarterly All Staff meetings. Attend monthly Life House staff meetings. Job performance should demonstrate The Rescue Mission's Core Values; Organizational Integrity, Organizational Unity and Organizational Effectiveness. Be prepared to pray with and offer spiritual support to others. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Education Training and Experience Associate's degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred 1 year of experience in related field required. Valid Driver's License. Good observation skills of the environment and the people within it Self-motivated Basic computer skills with knowledge of internet and email. Ability to work with individuals of various socio-economic, ethnic, and racial populations. Ability to comply with personal and business requirements and expectations as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
