Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Life Enrichment Assistant to enhance the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and personalized programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, recreational therapy, and event planning, with a genuine passion for working with older adults. This role offers an opportunity to create meaningful experiences that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities and resident events tailored to diverse interests and abilities. Develop innovative programs that support cognitive health, physical activity, and emotional well-being for residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, needs, and individual histories to personalize engagement strategies. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when necessary, including mobility support and companionship. Collaborate with team members to ensure programs align with residents' care plans and health requirements. Manage scheduling of activities efficiently while maintaining flexibility to accommodate residents' changing needs. Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and program outcomes to inform ongoing care strategies. Requirements Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments, particularly with seniors experiencing memory loss or disabilities. Strong background in event planning, recreational therapy, or program development for geriatric populations. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, geriatrics, and aging issues counseling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication purposes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster resident rapport and work effectively within a team. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in senior living facilities is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to coordinate resident events, assist with ADLs, and manage schedules efficiently. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
