Responsibilities Engage with clients through active listening, motivational interviewing, and empathetic communication to foster trust and motivation. Develop personalized recovery plans that incorporate behavioral health strategies, addiction counseling techniques, and social support systems. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations and ensure client safety during challenging moments. Assist clients in navigating mental health counseling services, social services, and community resources to promote holistic recovery. Document client progress accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards. Mentor clients by modeling positive behaviors, encouraging self-advocacy, and reinforcing their strengths throughout the recovery journey. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless support for each individual's unique needs. Requirements Proven experience or training in crisis intervention, crisis management, or behavioral health settings. Knowledge of mental health counseling principles, addiction counseling methods, and social work practices. Strong skills in motivational interviewing and behavioral coaching to motivate clients toward sustained recovery. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and case management purposes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with diverse populations. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, patience, and resilience. Preferred certifications include social work licensure, addiction counseling credentials, or relevant training in behavioral health or mental health counseling.
