The Life Coach will help participants develop practical skills, improve decision-making, build confidence, and work toward greater independence and personal stability. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who can establish positive relationships with participants, provide encouragement and accountability, and create a supportive environment where individuals feel respected, heard, and empowered. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals with disabilities or other support needs. Responsibilities Provide individualized coaching, guidance, and support based on each participant's needs and goals. Help participants develop life skills, coping strategies, communication skills, and healthy decision-making habits. Assist clients in identifying personal strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement. Develop and support individualized goals related to emotional well-being, education, employment, relationships, independence, and community participation. Encourage participants to build confidence, self-advocacy, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Support children, families, and individuals with disabilities or other high-risk or vulnerable populations. Utilize positive reinforcement and appropriate behavioral strategies to encourage progress. Assist participants with navigating community resources, social services, educational opportunities, and other available supports. Recognize and respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional concerns and situations requiring additional support. Utilize appropriate de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques when necessary. Maintain professional boundaries and ensure all interactions are respectful, supportive, and participant-centered. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of coaching sessions, participant progress, goals, and relevant incidents. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience working with children, families, individuals with disabilities, or vulnerable/high-risk populations . Experience in life coaching, behavioral health, social services, childcare, education, community services, case management, or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of personal development, behavioral health, emotional regulation, and positive communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport with participants. Ability to remain calm, patient, professional, and supportive in challenging situations. Ability to recognize behavioral or emotional concerns and respond appropriately. Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Comfortable working with individuals from diverse cultural, social, and personal backgrounds.
