Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) LINC Peer Support Center -
Augusta, Maine Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-4:30 PM (40 hours) Occasional flexibility based on center activities and community needs. A Program of Motivational Services Inc. (MoCo) The LINC Peer Support Center is a welcoming, community built space grounded in Intentional Peer Support, mutuality, shared learning, and authentic connection. Participants come to LINC for conversation, creativity, groups, support, advocacy, or simply a comfortable place to be in community. We are looking for a Center Coordinator to help support the daily operations and flow of the center while helping create a welcoming, connected environment for participants and the community. This is a people centered role for someone who can balance authentic connection with professionalism, structure, and healthy boundaries in a peer support environment. What You'll Do Support the daily operations and overall flow of the center Work closely with the Center Manager to help coordinate daily activities, communication, coverage, and center operations Build authentic relationships through Intentional Peer Support and mutual connection Coordinate groups, activities, outreach efforts, and community events Support participant involvement, leadership, and community engagement Assist participants in exploring community resources and supports when helpful Support structured peer groups and recovery-oriented learning opportunities Complete scheduling, outreach tracking, communication, documentation, and reporting responsibilities Utilize Microsoft Office, email, calendars, and other computer systems to support coordination and organization Participate in supervision, team meetings, co-reflections, and ongoing peer support learning opportunities Support a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment grounded in IPS, mutuality, and restorative practices Qualifications Lived experience with mental health, co-occurring challenges, or other significant life experiences is required, along with a willingness to use that experience purposefully in a peer support role CIPSS certification preferred; non-certified applicants must obtain certification within the first year of employment Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills Ability to maintain healthy professional boundaries in a low-barrier, relationship-focused environment Ability to balance flexibility and structure in a dynamic setting Experience in peer support, outreach, community work, or related fields preferred Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic computer systems Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
