We are seeking a new part-time Recovery Coordinator to join our team! Reporting to the Behavioral Health/SUD Treatment Manager, this position is responsible for assisting patients with Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring disorders for the purpose of providing strength-based recovery and case management services. This position helps to remove barriers and obstacles, assists with practices of harm reduction, and links patients to resources in the recovery community. Promotes the mission and philosophy of providing quality health care and related services to the medically underserved. Upholds and ensures compliance with and pays attention to all corporate policies and procedures, as well as the mission and values of the organization. What You Will Do Acts as a role model by utilizing individual recovery experiences, advocacy, problem-solving, coping techniques, self-help strategies. Utilize empathy, support and concern to empower patient increasing confidence and self-esteem. Maintains a commitment to the achievement of quality health care services by maintaining patient rights, safety, privacy, confidentiality and excellent customer service philosophy. Conducts interviews with patients, their families' and other individuals involved in the patient's treatment. Brief Intervention - engages patients showing risky substance use behaviors to connect with, link and coordinate treatment services and recovery support. Referral to Treatment - provides referrals to brief therapy or additional treatment for patients who screen in need of additional services. Conducts case management services for patients within community standards to set and accomplish specific goals. Focuses on clinical, psycho-social, education, financial and post-inpatient residential follow for after care and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Performs other duties as assigned. What You Will Bring Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following skills: High School Diploma or completion of a GED program; Bachelor's degree, in counseling preferred Experience as a recipient of substance use services and to be in recovery for two or more continuous years. Experience in navigating complex SUD, co-occurring disorder(s), and/or non-substance addictive disorder(s) treatment services. Self-identify as having a SUD, co-occurring disorder(s), and or non-substance addictive disorder(s) with a substantial life disruption and share their recover story in supporting others.
