Requirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill) Staff must be "credible messengers," trusted community insiders with backgrounds similar to the high-risk youth being served They must be individuals who have clearly demonstrated positive changes in their lives and turned away from crime. They should possess long-term knowledge of the target areas and community and be connected through schools (coaches), religion, extended family relationships, and human services connections. The Outreach Worker Supervisor should have some experience leading a team.
