CHILDREN & YOUTH SOCIAL SERVICES AIDE I
Do you have a background or passion for working with children and families in an environment that serves to help others? The Washington County Children & Youth Department is seeking applicants for a busy department to work as a Social Services Aide I at a starting salary of $37,576.50 with a generous benefits package, including family health insurance, retirement contribution and wellness benefits/activities for both employees and their families. Although the regular work schedule for the position is 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, it does include working evenings and weekend hours. The successful applicants will primarily be responsible for transportation
  • including scheduling, planning and transporting children and families; additionally, visitation
  • including scheduling, planning and supervising visitation for children and families; record maintenance
  • including the maintenance of reports and case records; and other general services
  • including assistance and support to casework staff with the delivery of services for families.
The position requires both written and interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of office equipment, including a computer, scanner, copier, fax and telephone. Candidates must also possess a valid PA driver's license. Qualified candidates should also have a high school diploma or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
