Position Description Advertised Job Summary Program Support Coordinator Are you passionate about creating memorable student experiences? The Program Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting programmatic initiatives, events, and daily operations within the Center for Student Engagement. This position ensures the effective implementation of departmental programs, including Signature Series and major events, while overseeing logistical functions such as conference room reservations and facility usage. The role contributes to a high-quality, student-centered environment by supporting engagement efforts, maintaining operational efficiency, and enhancing the overall experience for students, staff, and campus partners. Primary duties include: Coordinate daily operations of the Center for Student Engagement to ensure a clean, organized, and fully functional environment. Administer front desk operations, ensuring professional and efficient customer service. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise student employees. Develop and implement a comprehensive series of engagement programs for the campus community. Assist in the planning and execution of events and ceremonies recognizing student and staff achievements. Serve on institutional committees and workgroups related to student engagement, student travel, and divisional initiatives. Assist with budget planning, monitoring, and reconciliation for assigned programs and operational areas.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master's preferred). 2+ years of experience in an office setting, student services, or administrative operations (higher education experience strongly preferred). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, especially in a front-facing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office setting. Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, etc.). Ability to train, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to students and professional staff. Problem-solving and decision-making skills with a high level of professionalism. Job Duties Job Duty Center Operations & Facility Coordination Coordinate daily operations of the Center for Student Engagement to ensure a clean, organized, and fully functional environment. Monitor readiness of all shared spaces, maintain organization of storage and common areas, and manage scheduling and reservations for the conference room and other center spaces. Support logistical needs for center-wide programming and serve as a primary point of contact for students, staff, and visitors utilizing the facility. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise student employees. Provide ongoing performance management, coaching, and professional development to ensure staff are effectively supporting center operations and adhering to established procedures. Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including outreach, marketing, participant selection, and on-site execution. Create and distribute promotional materials, including newsletters and digital content, to effectively communicate programs, initiatives, and student recognition. Collaborate with campus and community partners to enhance programming efforts.
