Pay:
$13 per hour, depending on experience Are you creative, energetic, and passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors? NHC HealthCare Scott is seeking a compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our supportive, family-oriented team. This PRN position offers the potential to grow into a part-time opportunity. It is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, encouraging participation, and creating meaningful experiences that positively affect residents' quality of life. Position Overview As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will help plan and provide engaging daily activities that support the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being of our residents. The right candidate will bring creativity, enthusiasm, compassion, and a genuine desire to make each day meaningful for the seniors we serve. Responsibilities- Promote, organize, and lead recreational and life-enrichment programs.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, preferences, and abilities.
- Create engaging experiences that support the different domains of wellness.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with residents and their families.
- Assist with activity documentation, including attendance records, assessments, and progress notes.
- Help prepare activity spaces and gather necessary supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the Life Enrichment team and other center partners.
- Maintain a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment. Qualifications
- A genuine desire to work with and enhance the lives of seniors
- Compassionate, caring, creative, and energetic personality
- Reliable with a positive attitude and a team-oriented approach
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of wellness-based programming in long-term care is preferred
