Position Summary:

What You Will Bring to the Classroom

Ability to support and challenge students in a nurturing environment that drives growth and engagement for all learners. A strong moral compass and commitment to modeling ethical behavior and sound judgment.

Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and student data (e.g., test results, GPA, career interest surveys). Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities (Premier High School). Excellent organizational, self-management, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse learners, parents (where applicable), colleagues, and administrators. What We Expect of You

Master the Premier High School Curriculum System and adapt instruction to meet the needs of adult learners in Texas Works. Manage the classroom by setting clear expectations, establishing routines, and promoting self-discipline, while demonstrating empathy. Inspire, praise, and correct students with consistency, care, and interest. Learn and implement teaching curriculum programs. Evaluate student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Engage in collaboration with colleagues at the local and district levels for the benefit of students and learning Administer tests,monitor student performance, and provide intervention/enrichment. Tutor students individually or in groups. Perform assigned duties and special projects. Practice professionalism through ongoing development and reflection. Adhere to all relevant handbooks and procedures. Educator Qualifications

  • Must meet ONE of the following
    Texas State Teacher's Certification in the subject to be taught.

Bachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TEXES Exam in the grade level or content area to be taught. Bachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught. Bachelor's degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area. This is to be supported by a professional letter of recommendation from the educator's employer or supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Life Coach to join our organization, focusing on supporting adult learners in their academic, professional, and personal development. The Life Coach will play a crucial role in providing guidance, access to resources, and personalized support for individuals navigating their educational and career journeys.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Bilingual (preferred)

Experience

Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, or educational support roles.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Exhibits passion and excitement about working with students.

Empathetic and patient with the ability to build trust and rapport.

Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Proficient computer skills and comfort with technology.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Student Services

Leverage social work background to address unique needs of adult learners.

Implement Life Coach Model for accessing community services and supports

Provide on-site and virtual mental health support for adult learners.

Conduct regular meetings to understand and address learners' needs.

Act as a mentor, fostering a supportive environment and building strong relationships.

Academic Advisor

Support and train adult learners for success in a blended learning environment.

Guide learners in setting individual goals and academic plans.

Monitor academic performance, engagement, and communicate regularly.

Attend team meetings, contributing to educational guidance.

Provide essential communications for state testing, career fairs, and graduation needs.

Career Counseling

Collaborate with instructional staff and counselors to align academic and workforce goals.

Support learners in identifying long-term goals.

Connect learners to career pathways and higher education based on interests.

Collaborate with district experts and industry partners for job-related opportunities.

Provide post-graduation follow-up services at scheduled intervals.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Case Management

Document all interactions in a uniform, detailed, and consistent manner

Act as a liaison between the student and community resource providers, i.e.: childcare, rental/living assistance, gas cards, and/or food resources, etc. Coordinate workshops and/or open-enrollment meetings with service providers for adult students.

Escalate methods of communication and contact to include home visits for students who are deviating from their support plan and/or having attendance-related concerns.
