YOUTH MINISTRY-RESIDENT ASSISTANT

Please include references.] Job description Hope Farm School is a groundbreaking boarding school for inner-city middle school and high school boys. This is a mission field more than a job. Our work is to disciple, train, and educate young men in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, all in a farm setting. We have 25 students, half Hispanic and half African American. The hardships facing inner city youth are vast and daunting. Temptations such as school deliquency, drug use, and negative social media make it difficult for boys to succeed. All these factors compromise their motivation and ambition, creating apathy and hopelessness. Drop out rates in some urban communities are as high as 80%. Hope Farm School changes these dynamics, providing authentic challenges, leadership opportunities and a regained sense of hope through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
ROLE OF RESIDENT ASSISTANT
The Resident Assistant works to create a positive atmosphere and build authentic Christian community within the student body.
QUALIFICATIONS
Born again Christian man, some experience working with boys age 12-18, energetic, hard worker, willing to coach a variety of team sports(preferred).
DUTIES:
Reside at Hope Farm School in Stockholm, WI. Participate and/or lead Bible studies, farm work, athletic activities, gym time, etc. Facilitate Christian discipleship and community among students. Potentially teach some subjects. Attend weekly staff planning and prayer meetings.
COMPENSATION
Room and board, plus a salary, brings total package to between $40,000 - $45,000. (food and lodging provided, along with a cash salary of $25,000) see www.hopefarmschool.org
