Job Description

Social Services Director Methodist Village Senior Living | Fort Smith, AR Methodist Village Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Services Director to lead our Social Services Department. This role serves as an advocate for residents and their families, ensuring residents' emotional, social, and psychosocial needs are met while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. The Social Services Director works closely with residents, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members to enhance quality of life and support resident-centered care. Responsibilities Direct and oversee all social services programs and activities. Complete psychosocial assessments, care planning, and discharge planning. Support residents and families with resources, counseling, and community services. Coordinate care with nursing, therapy, medical providers, and community agencies. Advocate for resident rights and assist with grievance resolution. Maintain required documentation and regulatory compliance. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and care plan meetings. Supervise, train, and support social services staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field required. Required state and federal licensure/certification, as applicable. Previous healthcare, long-term care, or senior living experience. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Passion for serving older adults and supporting resident well-being. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
