Free Household YMCA of Greater Indianapolis Membership Paid Time Off and Sick Time Insurance 20 Hours Per Week of Free Child Care Flexible Hours/ Scheduling Retirement Discounted Program Fees Professional Development The Director of Aquatics will be responsible for all facets of the indoor and outdoor aquatic departments. The position will include the development and administration of the department; program development and promotion, implementation and evaluation, staff scheduling and supervision, and financial operation in accordance with Center and Association goals, objectives and policies. This position requires a degree in physical education, or a related field, or its equivalent in experience. Current certifications in aquatics (must be able to swim, pass CPR certification and lifeguarding exams). A high degree of organizational and supervisory skills is required. Knowledge of pool operations (water quality, cleanliness, protocols). Additional skills in program development and implementation, fiscal control and written communications are necessary. Must be a team player with strong human relations skills able to interpret program objectives to members and participants. Able to communicate within and between communities and organizations.
