$77,589.34•$87,288.01 Valid Driver's License issued in the US is required. Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Nursing, Public Health, Gerontology, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Three years of experience in Elder Services, human services, or related programs required. Experience working in a Tribal community required. Two years of supervisory experience required. Grant experience is required. Knowledge of case management systems preferred. Knowledge of Tribal, State, and Federal elder programs, including Title VI/III and MIAAA funding, preferred. Strong organizational, administrative, and fiscal management skills required. Knowledge of elder rights, vulnerable adult protections, and mandated reporting requirements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, Elders, families, and agencies. Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is preferred. Experience working with Native Americans clients, communities and can demonstrate cultural sensitivity is preferred. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, databases and/or data entry, Spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook is required. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal physical requirements. Oversee Elder Services programs including Elder Advocates, Chore (in home organizing, decluttering, laundry, packing/moving assistance, groceries, haircuts, etc.)Services (excluding lawn/ snow services), and Vulnerable Adult Services. Manage grant and funding requirements related to MIAAA, Title VI/III, and other Elder Services funding streams. Coordinate Elder Nutrition Program (ENP) operations, including congregate meals, home-delivered meals, delivery policies, and employee meals in coordination with Human Services Division Dietitians. Develop, implement, and monitor program policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure compliance with Tribal, State, and Federal guidelines. Provide support in overseeing elder-related budgets and the planning, monitoring, and coordination of program activities. Monitor program budgets and expenditures; prepare required reports for Tribal, State, and Federal agencies. Lead efforts to support long-term sustainability of programs by advocating and developing processes for third party billing. Supervise Elder Services staff, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and performance management. Assist with addressing issues, concerns, and recommendations from the elder community. Provide advocacy for Elders in accessing services, benefits, and supports, including collaboration with Tribal, County, and State agencies. Ensure appropriate follow-up and support for cases involving vulnerable adults and mandated reporting requirements. Promote Elder rights, dignity, and protection from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Act as liaison with Tribal, State, and Federal agencies regarding elder programs, funding, and services. Develop partnerships with community organizations to expand resources available to Elders. Develop, lead, and participate in a Tribal Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) with internal and external departments and/agencies. Coordinate with health, social services, and caregiver programs to ensure holistic support for Elders. Plan and participate in Elder-focused events, activities, and recognition ceremonies. Provide resources, referrals, and assistance to family caregivers of Elders. Ensure Elders are informed of available services, benefits, and community opportunities. Develop and implement safety and emergency response plans specific to Elder needs. Appropriate/Professional work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
