Full Job Description Summary:
The Director of Interpersonal Violence (IPV) Services oversees the operations and delivery of comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, including specialized programs providing emergency shelter and housing, crisis intervention and support, court advocacy, community education and outreach to increase victim safety. Leads and inspires IPV staff teams to provide high-quality services, support team members, collaborate with other community service agencies and represent Family Services effectively. Supervises program managers and lead service staff. Sets expectations, evaluates and reports on program outcomes and makes recommendations for program improvements.Position Responsibilities:
Ensures delivery of high-quality services to survivors. Plans, organizes, administers, and monitors current programs. Identifies new services area opportunities. Coordinates and integrates with other Family Services programs. Manages the programs to ensure compliance with internal and external standards and requirements within the approved budget. Provides administrative and supportive supervision to staff across IPV programs. Develops a competent, productive, trauma-informed and satisfied professional staff. Supervisors mid-level supervisors and front-line staff. Recommends hiring, transferring, promoting, demoting, disciplining, and terminating supervisees. Appraises performance and provides opportunities for staff development and training to meet program objectives. Plays an active role in raising the visibility of the programs and agency, connecting the programs to the larger community, and using those linkages to increase the level of community resources (financial, volunteer, tangible, and in-kind) which benefit the programs. Assures quality service by being knowledgeable of best practices in the interpersonal violence service field. Enforces rules, regulations and legal requirements across multiple programs within the IPV unit. Provides collaborative leadership for Family Services as a partner in the Bridges to Hope Family Justice Center of Forsyth County. Maintains documentation necessary for programming and accountability and reporting to funders. Prepares for funder monitoring reviews and engages with government funders during site visits. Evaluates and reports on program effectiveness and makes recommendations for program improvements. Contributes to the effectiveness of the profession by maintaining active interest in the field and advocating for positive change. Develops and maintains productive and collaborative relationships within the organization and with community partners. Assists in the development of funding through grant applications. Maintains harmonious working and collaborative programming relationship with various advisory groups and other related services agencies. Promotes a positive image of Family Services by ensuring an understanding of program services available, publicizing activities and accomplishments, and conducting oneself according to a professional code of ethics. Maintains professional competency by participating in meaningful, up-to-date continued training, education and personal growth experiences. Acts in such a way as to encourage and maintain high morale among staff members. Executes responsibilities as part of agency-wide teams. Other duties as required or assigned.Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in the field of social work, human services, criminal justice, public health or related field. Masters preferred. Minimum of 5 years of post-Bachelor's experience. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and program management experience. Demonstrated experience delivering and managing services to survivors of interpersonal violence, including professional training and community education. Possesses specialized skills and knowledge dealing with interpersonal violence, including prevention and intervention strategies as well as supporting staff boundary-setting. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between various agency sites, community resources, and home visits. Meet federal and state background check and drug screen requirement. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Effective problem-solving and influencing skills. Proficiency using Microsoft programs (Office 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work outside regular business hours to meet Agency needs when needed.Essential Physical Functions:
