Animal Care Attendant - PT Salary $22.09 - $29.02 Hourly Location Irvine, CA Job Type Part-Time Job Number 04098 Department Community & Library Services Opening Date 03/31/2026 Closing Date 4/7/2026 5:00 PM Pacific Description The City of Irvine seeks candidates to provide daily care and enrichment for shelter animals. Candidates will assist with adoption counseling, behavioral assessments of shelter animals, and customer service. This position is Part-time, up to 19 hours per week. Future vacancies may be filled through this recruitment. The ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or equivalent and some experience caring for or handling animals, preferably at an animal shelter. Hours :
Varying shifts, Monday through Sunday, up to 19 hours a week. Weekend and holiday availability required. For more information, please see the Animal Care Attendant flier . I nterview:
After a thorough review of applications, those candidates deemed most qualified as reflected in their application will be invited to an interview.
Background Check :
A thorough background investigation will be conducted prior to appointment.
Medical Examination:
A medical examination will be conducted, including a drug screening and proof of a negative TB test to ensure the ability to perform assigned duties.

Future Vacancies:
