GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the administrative supervision of the team lead or program director, this position is responsible for assisting members in meeting their expressed goals toward crisis resolution and maintaining wellness while living in the community. Additional support in areas of advocacy and the connection to local county/state resources will be provided as needed.DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is an at-will direct service position within a program. The position will utilize lived experience perspectives and training to support client participants at Turning Point Community Programs. The peer specialist will provide an avenue for active listening and provide messages of hope and recovery.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES
Education, Training and Experience:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from High School or completion of GED program. Varied life experience related to mental health. Licenses; Certificates;Special Requirements:
California driver's license & current vehicle insurance/registration Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.Schedule:
Monday- Friday, 8:00 am
- 5:00 pm
Compensation:
