Job Description
Purpose:
To provide overnight supervision, nurturing, and healthy structure to youth in the facility.Major Responsibilities:
Use their knowledge and understanding of the needs of children served in a children's residential setting Use their skills and ability to engage and develop rapport with children who have various backgrounds Use their skills and ability to provide consistency and behavioral limits through relationship-based interventions Use their skills to communicate effectively with the ability to solve problems in a collaborative manner Implement the residential program including maintenance of the daily schedule and program guidelines and expectations for youth Daily implementation of individual service plans for youth in facility and with the runaway and homeless youth population. Regular communication with Clinical Staff regarding mental health needs of youth Respond to 24-hour crisis calls and drop-in youth, families, and community members and providing accurate referrals Demonstrate professional communication and partnership with other youth and family providing agencies and organizations Maintain daily documentation and record keeping including client case notes, client file maintenance, service records, and more including use of electronic health records Advocate with youth and families for their wellbeing, health, and access to supportive services Perform thorough cleaning duties and use organizational skills to maintain cleanliness, safety, and professionalism within the facility Provide safe transportation of clients for appointments and activities Coordinate meal preparation to required guidelines as well as provide education around nutrition Administer and document medications in accordance to Community Care Licensing regulations Participate in collaborative case management with entire team at Noah's Anchorage Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, retreats, and trainings Practice healthy and appropriate professional boundaries with all clients Keep management team informed of all legal, ethical, and clinical issues Work overnight, weekends, and support during holidays to help maintain 24/7 coverage of the floorQualifications:
Highschool Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's preferred Must be at least 21 years of age Have a valid California driver's license with current car insurance Must be able to pass the following background checks: DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index, and DMV Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to multi-task with accuracy and efficiency Must have the physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Requires light physical activity such as phone and computer work. May require walking, driving, light lifting, stooping, crouching, and bending.Job Type:
