PM Training:
During your first two weeks, training will be Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM•6:00 PM. What You'll Do As a Peer Support Specialist, you will: Build supportive, recovery-oriented relationships using your lived experience Facilitate engaging peer support groups focused on wellness, coping skills, recovery, and life skills Provide one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching Encourage community involvement through recreational and wellness activities Transport clients to community activities and appointments as needed Help clients build confidence, independence, and healthy coping strategies Collaborate with the treatment team while maintaining the unique role of peer support Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with Medicaid and agency requirements Promote a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused environment
Qualifications Required:
Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Driving record that meets Monarch's automobile insurance requirements Ability to transport clients as needed Passion for helping others succeed in recovery Willingness to take a background check
Preferred:
