Job Description

Hourly rate starts at $17.00, but could be higher depending on experience! IHS seeks compassionate and caring individuals to join our guest services/shelter operations team. We operate emergency shelters and specialty shelters for medically fragile homeless and are looking for mission driven team players who want to be a part of the solution to homelessness!
Responsibilities:
Responsible for facilitating the safety and welfare of IHS guests and volunteers. Communicate available resources to IHS guests and offer the gift of hope. Ensure the sites are free of hazards; uphold policies, and provide supportive assistance for all guests while treating them with respect and dignity. Document daily, supervise in-house and community volunteers and provide support to the clinical programs when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Available to work Overnight shifts any day of the week including weekends and holidays Able to multi-task, work independently and exercise good judgment Possess good written communication and basic computer skills to ensure accurate and timely documentation Have at least 1 year experience in providing excellent customer relations and conflict resolution
Preferred:
High School diploma or GED equivalent Work experience in a group home, care home or homeless shelter setting Experience with crisis prevention/response and deescalation Knowledge or training in Human Services, CPR/First Aid/AED If your resume is chosen, you will be contacted within the next two weeks.
