This position involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, provide resources, and facilitate access to housing programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of housing regulations and a passion for helping others navigate the complexities of housing assistance. Responsibilities Conduct assessments to determine client eligibility for housing programs, including Section 8 and LIHTC. Provide guidance on Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance and advocacy for clients. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their housing search. Collaborate with social work professionals to address underlying issues impacting housing stability. Manage crisis situations effectively, providing immediate support and resources as needed. Negotiate with landlords and property management companies to secure housing for clients. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress. Operate property management software. Experience Proven experience in property management or social work is preferred. Familiarity with Section 8, LIHTC, and Fair Housing regulations is essential. Strong skills in crisis management and negotiation are highly valued. Experience with motivational interviewing techniques is a plus.
