Full Job Description Volunteer Coordinator Salary:
$22.00 Please attach cover letter: In keeping with the mission, vision, and Catholic identity of Catholic Charities of Louisville, the said person demonstrates the Welcome, Empower, and Strengthen values of the agency. The Volunteer Coordinator is an essential component of the Advancement Team, in collaboration with all Catholic Charities of Louisville (CCL) programs and/or Archdiocesan departments. The Volunteer Coordinator is primarily responsible for leading the organization's volunteer recruitment to meet the needs of the agency's programs and all its grant requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Participate as an active member of the Advancement team and work collaboratively to achieve the budgeted Advancement Department goals and advance the mission of the agency
EFFORT:
1. Volunteer Recruitment and Placement Recruit, review applicants, schedule, orient, and cultivate volunteers for program-specific needs as well as agency events: Rouler, Christmas, World Refugee Day, and others. Present meaningful opportunities for engagement for all volunteers, including students for service hours, boards, and staff. Attend community events to recruit volunteers or present opportunities; able to speak on behalf of all programs. 2. Database and Record Keeping Ensure completion and/or maintenance of all volunteer records in database; enter volunteer hours monthly, audit quarterly for active volunteers, background checks, and ADOL for Safe Environment; annual audit for ADOL. Maintain a monthly updated volunteer opportunities list and provide website updates, including collaboration with Catholic agencies. 3. Communication and Celebration Plan/host annual Volunteer Celebration. Honor Volunteer Awareness Month in April. Work with the Comms team to promote opportunities for engagement (volunteer e-newsletters, The Record, bulletin blast). Work with the Community Engagement Manager in selecting and engaging with the CCL Youth Board.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years' experience working with volunteers. Preferred practicing Catholic and supports teachings of the Catholic Church. Experience with Microsoft Office products with a high level of experience in Excel. Reasonable accommodation may be made for those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.

it will be the first, and in some cases, only point of contact with Catholic Charities for members of the community who are interested in contributing and/or serving in social ministry with the agency. Must be able to lead, work with, and manage various groups and personalities (students, volunteers, staff, etc.), including people of varied ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with colleagues, parishes, clergy, and other community personnel. Must be comfortable speaking to groups, meeting new people, leading groups, giving instruction, providing presentations, and cultivating community contacts. Must be able to multitask, respond appropriately to deadlines, plan, have great attention to detail, and be able to produce quality results. Must demonstrate self-confidence, initiative, flexibility, and a high degree of professionalism. Must work well with limited supervision and be able to solve problems independently and quickly. Must be a self-starter and able to build programs from scratch with little guidance. Must be willing to jump in and assist volunteers as needed. Must be able to work under pressure and handle stressful situations and conflict resolutions. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Occasional evening/weekend work is required, as is very occasional travel throughout the 24 counties of the archdiocese. Requires constant movement and should be able to lift 25 lbs. Our service area includes 24 counties throughout Central Kentucky.
