About our Volunteer Coordinator position The Volunteer Coordinator is a member of the External Affairs team and is responsible for the Volunteer Program, an essential community engagement strategy for Planned Parenthood Great Northwest Hawai ʻ i Alaska Indiana Kentucky, (PPGNHAIK), including recruitment, placement, onboarding, some training, and connection between volunteers and

that advancing volunteers' goals and PPGNHAIK's mission and operational goals. What will you be doing! The Volunteer Coordinator works in collaboration with
PPGNHAIK
stakeholders and interested or needed communities of volunteers to: Ensure that PPGNHAIK's Volunteer Program is rooted in the needs of the organization and the support and success of volunteers. Guide the design, implementation, and evaluation of volunteer positions to assure adequate support, training, and appreciation for each individual who contributes their time to
PPGNHAIK.
Coordinate and support volunteer needs and volunteer inquiries to provide great internal and external customer service and match skills and goals with opportunities.
Major Responsibilities:
Interviewing, vetting, placing, onboarding, and some training and engagement of volunteers. Responsible for all aspects of volunteer recruitment and response, selection, and vetting. Onboarding and training volunteers with include developing training guidance to match roles and responsibilities, and assuring adequate supervision of volunteers. Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment, engagement, recognition, and retention strategies to maintain a base of active volunteers to meet the organizational needs. Program development, implementation, tracking, evaluation, and compliance. Develop program goals, needs, and evaluation processes. Assess opportunities and identify needs of departments to support organizational goals and program development. Implement and administer the recordkeeping system to document and report volunteer activities and hours with consistency and accuracy. Responsible for volunteer compliance and tracking of PPFA accreditation requirements. Placement, assignments, some supervision, and evaluation. Define volunteer roles and responsibilities that provide meaningful and productive work and support organizational needs, in areas including clinical service fellowships, education and teen councils, public affairs, health center escorts, administrative support, internships, and more. Develop and update volunteer position descriptions and review as appropriate. Ensure appropriate placement of volunteers to match their interests and skills while prioritizing organizational needs. Create standards and expectations for volunteer position supervisors to ensure volunteers receive appropriate guidance and supervision while on assignment. Manage conflict resolutions with volunteers and staff. Establish a standardized evaluation program and volunteer performance review.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Overseeing some volunteer performance, provides guidance to volunteer supervisors at every level of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 3 years of working in volunteer organization and leadership.
