This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to student success and help shape the future of the Human Services program.Job Duties:
- Teach Human Services courses effectively using engaging and innovative instructional techniques
- Participate in the ongoing evaluation, development, and improvement of Human Services course offerings
- Assist in developing and implementing a strategic plan to enhance the Human Services program, including scheduling and student recruitment initiatives
- Provide academic advising and support for students
- Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through ongoing professional development
- Engage in college and community service activities, including committee work and community relations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or a related social/behavioral science OR Master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate hours in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated commitment to student learning and instructional excellence
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with technology and instructional tools
- Commitment to the comprehensive community college mission and collaborative teamwork
- Alignment with KCTCS and Big Sandy Community and Technical College strategic goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience in higher education or adult learning environments.
