EDUCATION
High school graduate or
GED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist or Certified Peer Recovery Coach (or willingness to participate in intensive training to become certified)
  • Must complete MDHHS-approved crisis training for peers within three months of hire
  • Must complete MDHHS-approved training competencies including trauma-informed care, de-escalation strategies, and harm reduction techniques
EXPERIENCE
Current or past service utilization of public mental health services which may include substance use disorder services.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY
This is a grant-funded, non-union position. This position requires work outside of normal business hours, weekends, holidays on a rotating schedule. This position provides peer support services to individuals with co-occurring disorders, supporting community inclusion, recovery, and independence. Works as part of multidisciplinary treatment teams providing crisis intervention, stabilization, and ongoing recovery support services in home and community settings through the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Services (ICSS) continuum of care. Responsibilities include mobile crisis response, peer mentoring, skills development assistance, and crisis stabilization planning. RANGE OF PAY
$39,931.22-$50,615.24 annually, plus benefits APPLICATION
