Full-time About the Role English Rose is a premier Assisted Living community comprising six intimate residential homes across Edina and Minnetonka, each thoughtfully designed for just six residents. Specializing in dementia care, we champion an individualized, relationship-driven approach where the ultimate goal is the holistic wellbeing of every person we serve. The Activity/Volunteer Coordinator integrates closely with the Care Team to create meaningful engagement opportunities for residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities. This role plans Activities and coordinates volunteers, community partnerships, and special events that help residents stay connected, engaged, and involved in daily life. Responsibilities Activities Plan, coordinate, and support the execution of scheduled activities and engagement opportunities for residents across English Rose homes. Develop and maintain program calendars based on resident interests, abilities, preferences, and life stories. Coordinate recurring programs and special events, including volunteers, musicians, entertainers, presenters, community groups, and therapy animal visits. Collaborate with Caregivers, Home Managers, resident families, and members of the leadership team to create engaging and purposeful programming. Facilitate and support resident outings, which includes driving an accessible van. Assist with training and coaching caregivers on resident engagement, meaningful activities, and person-centered approaches. Support the resident admission process by assisting with the recording of resident life stories and interests to ensure curated and adaptable programming from day one. Maintain activity supplies, communication, calendars, and participation records. Volunteer Program Management Help support and grow a volunteer program that enhances resident engagement and meaningful connections throughout English Rose homes. Assist with volunteer recruitment, outreach, and community engagement efforts. Assist with volunteer screening, interviews, onboarding, and training. Match volunteers with residents, homes, activities, and opportunities based on resident needs and volunteer interests. Coordinate volunteer schedules, communications, and participation. Maintain volunteer records, profiles, and program databases. Review and approve volunteer service hours and assist with volunteer references and letters of recommendation. Gather stories, photos, and program highlights for newsletters, social media, volunteer communications, and marketing materials. Support volunteer recognition, retention, and engagement efforts. Serve as a primary point of contact for volunteers and provide ongoing support. Community Outreach & Partnerships Support and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, faith communities, service clubs, and volunteer partners. Develop and coordinate volunteer recruitment opportunities through community partnerships. Represent English Rose at volunteer fairs, community events, and recruitment opportunities. Assist in promoting volunteer opportunities within the communities we serve. Qualifications 2-3 years of experience coordinating activities, events, volunteer programs, recreation, education, community engagement, or related programs is preferred. Experience working with older adults, volunteers, students, or community groups preferred. Dementia care experience preferred; training provided. Organized, creative, self-starting, relationship-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects. Must be fluent in English with strong verbal communication and written documentation skills Comfortable speaking with volunteers, community partners, residents, families, and team members. Valid driver's license required. Able to lift 50 lbs and remain active during 8 hour shifts.
