Job Description

Events Coordinator/Volunteer Coordinator Spectrum High School is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator. Successful applicants will be energetic, motivated, reliable, self-starters who are highly organized and detail oriented. They will have strong customer service skills and be comfortable working autonomously and within a team environment with a diverse group of individuals. This individual will be comfortable working with the external community and event attendees. The purpose of the position is to plan, coordinate, and facilitate all aspects of events throughout the school year (e.g., Open House, Veterans Day Program, Conferences, Music Programs, Awards Programs, Graduation, etc.) in a manner consistent with the vision and mission of Spectrum Schools. Competencies Ability to recognize urgent deadlines and maintain professionalism while under pressure with time lines Strong Organizational Skills Creative Thinker Ability to display the moral and ethical behavior consistent with the vision and mission of Spectrum Schools Ability to facilitate a team Ability to collaborate Ability to focus, multi-task organize, delegate, and prioritize workload Willingness and desire to learn new skills and take on new projects Ability to communicate in a professional manner verbally and in written documentation Qualifications Experience with event planning desirable Excellent communication skills Professional demeanor Must be able to lift/move 25-30 pounds, stand for long periods of time, crouch kneel, and bend without concern or difficulty Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed for the event Commitment to Personal Excellence Part-time, hourly position. This position may be combined with the volunteer coordinator position to make it full-time.
