The current rate for this position is $2,673.72 semi-monthly. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay). Responsibilities - What you'll do This is administrative work in a moderate-size facility in a treatment program involving the supervision of staff and youth committed to the custody of the Missouri Division of Youth Services with the Department of Social Services. At this level, employees supervise and may perform the activities overseen, in addition to overseeing development and administering case plans, maintaining professional contacts for the unit, coordinating with the field (e.g., case management), and much more. The following tasks are the responsibility of the Youth Services Manager (Youth Facility Manager II): Directs and manages the operation of a moderate-size residential treatment facility (20 beds); or small specialized facility (10 beds); or serves as the assistant in one of the largest residential treatment facilities (40 beds) or large residential treatment facility for high risk youth (30 beds). Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates the details of a group treatment program and the provision of individualized services for youth; provides training to staff. Prepares reports on the progress of youth; prepares reports and documentation relating to staff. Initiates purchase requests; receives supplies and equipment; and maintains related fiscal and inventory control records. Maintains personnel and budgetary records for the facility, including personal accounts for assigned youth. Develops and promotes community Qualifications - All you need for success One or more years of experience as a Youth Services Manager (Youth Facility Manager I) with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR Two or more years of experience as a Youth Services Supervisor (Youth Group Leader) or Youth Services Specialist (Service Coordinator of Youth Services) with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR Four or more years of professional experience in the treatment of juveniles as an Education Specialist, School Counselor, Youth Services Specialist (Outdoor Rehab Counselor), Youth Services Specialist (Recreation Officer), Youth Services Coordinator (Regional Family Specialist), Registered Nurse, Substance Abuse Counselor, Vocational Education Instructor, Youth Services Worker (Youth Specialist II), and/or related higher level position with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work; and Two or more years of professional experience in the treatment of juveniles which includes the supervision of staff and youth and responsibility for providing group and individual counseling and related treatment services. (Professional experience in the treatment of juveniles which includes group or individual counseling techniques may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required degree.) Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
