Job Description
Recovery 4ALL provides peer and volunteer support for anyone seeking wellness for themselves/families in the face of substance use disorder, mental health challenges, recent incarceration, or trauma. The Recovery Community Center (RCC) is a space that supports the many and varied pathways for recovery. The 4ALL RCC program will provide Certified Peer Support and Peer-supervised volunteers for wrap-around recovery services. As an example of recovery in the community, the CPSS provides related support and resource navigation down to the neighborhood level to interested and engaged participants at the RCC. The CPSS uses their personal lived experiences to connect with participants and to act as an example of wellness. The CPSS cultivates a peer support culture at the RCC and beyond by providing in-person services at the center as well as to those in the community. The latter is achieved by outreach and engagement with interested community partners such as OpenTable and its Good Neighbor
- volunteers.
Characteristics/Experience/Skills:
- Two years of personal recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Minimum of two years as a CPSS or equivalent experience desired.
- At least one year of working in the behavioral health and/or substance use fields with direct patient contact/customer service desired.
- Confident in recovery resource navigation with experience in Polk Co., a plus.
- Experience collaborating with community partners with knowledge of Polk Co. Organizations are a plus.
- Demonstrates commitment to the Recovery4ALL/WithALL mission, vision, and values.
- Professional and personal style consistent with the philosophy and team-oriented culture of Recovery4ALL.
- Demonstrates and upholds personal and professional boundaries.
- Works independently.
- Experience with Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and applicable skills (e.g., MI (motivational interviewing).
- Experience with the criminal justice system (either educationally or personally) is a plus.
- Familiarity with: o project management o volunteer coordination o public speaking and presentation o communication and relationship building o computers, database tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, and social media networking

Role and Responsibilities:
1) Abide by the PSS Code of Ethics. 2) Cultivate an empowered culture of recovery through peer support and community collaboration, education, and storytelling. This happens at the RCC itself and through outreach in community programs. 3) Ensure an office environment of warm hospitality & excellent customer service at the RCC. 4) Organize and serve as the central hub for internal RCC office operations. 5) Prioritize keeping a safe space within the center for staff and participants. 6) Be supervised by and report to the Project Director of the RCC. 7) Connect regularly with Sunrise Community for technical support. 8) Share responsibility for the operational success of the RCC initiatives and marketing of services in the community. 9) Work and communicate effectively with staff at WithALL and at partner organizations as specified. 10) Report to work in-person at the RCC/office on Mondays and on Fridays - exact times to be determined by survey of staff availability and participant needs. A minimum of one additional day per week -TBD- for a total of three days per week and 20 hours to start. 11) After orientation to the procedure and training, the CPSS will independently maintain the Following administrative duties/internal office systems on an agreed-upon schedule: a) personal timesheets b) log of volunteer hours c) record of community contact hours d) record of program-related expenditures e) documentation of evidence-based measures f) other data as required by RCC grant(s) and OpenTable or other partners 12) Serve as a liaison between 4ALL RCC and any individuals and organizations who are interested in the program's initiatives. Examples of such new or existing partners: chaplains and faith-based communities, law-enforcement officers and agencies, or school counselors and schools. 13)Meetings:
Attend weekly RCC staff meetings and/or one-on-ones with RCC PD. Shared responsibility with PD for attending Recovery Friendly Workplace meetings and the RCC cohort meetings as they occur. 14) While on duty, be responsible for facility management of the RCC office, including restocking paper products, vacuuming floors, taking out trash, and cleaning of bathrooms on a weekly and as-needed basis. 15) Delegate tasks like data recording or facility management tasks to RCC volunteers as needed, but remain responsible for their completion. 16) Complete training as assigned. This will include five core training sessions with OpenTable.- 17) Travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, or to provide on-site support.
