In this vital role, you will serve as a relatable guide and advocate for individuals navigating mental health challenges, and behavioral health concerns. Your lived experience and compassionate approach will empower clients to achieve stability, resilience, and hope. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Must be able to pass an APS/CPS background check. Responsibilities Provide peer-led support to individuals experiencing mental health or addiction challenges, fostering trust and encouragement. Assist clients in developing coping strategies, goal setting, and navigating available treatment options. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for clients and staff. Collaborate with clinical teams by sharing insights from lived experience to enhance individualized care plans. Mentor clients through recovery journeys, offering motivation and practical guidance based on shared experiences. Participate in ongoing training on crisis management, behavioral health best practices, and motivational interviewing techniques. Skills Strong understanding of crisis intervention and crisis management strategies. Knowledge of behavioral health principles, mental health. Excellent mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others toward positive change. Experience working within social work frameworks or community-based support programs. Skilled in motivational interviewing to facilitate client engagement and behavior change.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
