Job Description
Qualifications :
1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Minimum 21 years of age. 3. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred. 4. NJ Driver's license and acceptable driving record required. 5.Successfully complete the following checks:
criminal background, central registry, CARI, and drug testing if applicable.Job Summary:
Plan and supervise activities for the adults with developmental disabilities who attend Day programs. Day Program typically serve 30 to 36 service recipients and is staffed by 5 to 7 Instructors.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan daily activities for service recipients and provide supervision and/or assistance as needed for individual and group activities. 2. Provide supervision and/or physical assistance during eating and leisure time, and during personal care activities such as changing, showering, toileting, etc. 3. Provide supervision and/or physical assistance throughout the Program or in the community. 4. Participate in needs assessments and the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Service Plans and strategies. 5. Administer prescribed medications according to Licensing Agency policies and procedures. 6. Report and document incidents in accordance with DDD, Department of Human Services and Agency policies and procedures. 7. Identify, report and monitor safety or medical issues that may impact the welfare of service recipients. 8. Protect the privacy and confidentiality of service recipients, understand and support human rights: and demonstrate respect for service recipients in all interactions. 9. Attend assessments in services, and training as required to effectively carry out responsibilities and grow professionally. 10. Contribute to the daily operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the Day Program 11. Represent the Agency and service recipients in a positive and professional manner. 12. Accept and demonstrate the Agency's Standard of Cooperative Teamwork.Pay:
