Founded in 1963, NewBridge Services, Inc. is a nonprofit community organization providing innovative programs and education services in five program areas: mental health, substance abuse, housing, children's needs and senior citizen assistance. Whether guiding people as they cope with stress, grief, or substance abuse, or providing advice to those with parenting, relationship or caregiving challenges, NewBridge helps people bring balance to their lives. We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Access Specialist in our Parsippany Out-Patient location of New Bridge Services. The Access Specialist will take new calls for services or information seeking and provide screening for those desiring counseling or medication management or both.
Responsibilities:
Provide telephone assessments to clients, families, and members of the community who request services. Verify and coordinate clients' insurance and benefits authorizations when applicable. Assist in the coordination of case assignments. Participates in staff and supervision meetings, and NewBridge's committee meetings as assigned. Serves as member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Conducts telephone assessments of potential emergency situations, reviews with supervisor for disposition, makes referrals as needed and provides follow-up. Other duties as assigned.
Schedule :
Part Time, 21 hours per week, Working Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Qualifications:
Exposure to counseling services/diagnostic courses. Patience, Organizational skills, Documentation timeliness and Strong assessment and communication skills.
Education :
BA, BS, or BSW required. NewBridge Services, Inc. is an
