Job Description

Part-Time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Flexible part-time schedule, meaningful work. LilyCare is a community-based hospice dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care. Join a growing organization where your work directly impacts the people we serve. We are hiring a part-time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to build and lead our volunteer program. The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator recruits, trains, schedules, and supports volunteers in compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and agency policy. Benefits Flexible part-time schedule that fits your life Meaningful, mission-driven work supporting patients and families Supportive interdisciplinary team environment Mileage reimbursement for travel within the service area Duties and Responsibilities Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard a qualified pool of hospice volunteers, including background and reference checks Coordinate and facilitate initial orientation and annual education to meet Medicare volunteer requirements Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group (IDG) to identify patient and family needs, then match, schedule, and monitor volunteer assignments Maintain accurate, survey-ready volunteer files, document activity in the EMR, and ensure federal, state, and accreditation compliance Track volunteer hours, prepare monthly reports, support bereavement and community outreach, and coordinate volunteer recognition events Compensation and Schedule $22.00 to $32.00 per hour Part-time, typically 20 to 24 hours per week Flexible schedule with occasional evenings or weekends for volunteer events and community outreach Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's in healthcare, social work, human services, or related field preferred Previous volunteer management, hospice, or home health experience preferred Strong organizational, communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance; able to travel throughout the service area and lift up to 25 pounds Knowledge of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care, with the ability to recruit, motivate, and retain volunteers If you are an organized, people-focused professional ready to make a difference as a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, apply today to join the LilyCare team.
