Major Responsibilities :

1. Identify prospective housing properties (Permanent, Transitional, and supportive)for various clients in shelters and commercial hotels. 2. Knowledge of CAPS, CURRENT, and all other Housing databases and applications. 3. Conduct housing Tours for clients ready for housing or preparing for housing. 4. Develop linkages with real estate agencies and community-based housing development programs. 5. Ensure housing compliance with appropriate oversight agencies Dept. of Buildings/ELB, etc.). 6. Meet weekly with Social Service staff for a conference on prospective clients ready for housing and in preparation for housing. 7. Create and update ILPs and Progress notes. 8. Conduct weekly housing seminars with residents to prepare for the transition to community living. 9. Set and maintain a caring environment conducive to personal growth. 10. May be responsible for duties and assignments deemednecessary based upon the discretion of the Shelter Director. Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years experience in human services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are prerequisites.
• Work with teams and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and write proper English
• Bilingual Encouraged to apply
• Have a working knowledge of computer programs (Department of Homeless Services CARES database).
• Must be computer literate
• Have a willing attitude to learn, take direction and communicate effectively.
• Ability to conduct presentations with large audiences.
