What You Should Know About the
Volunteer Coordinator Role:
This is a FT position at our Ohio's Hospice Troy location Schedule will be M-F 8a-5p with an occasional weekend We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed
Volunteer Coordinator Job Summary:
Performs administrative support duties specific to office assigned. Organizes data received for accurate entry and efficient reporting in a timely manner. Recruits, trains, and retains volunteers to support the mission of Ohio s Hospice.
Volunteer Coordinator Essential Duties:
Maintains daily volunteer records and volunteer data in Volgistics. Manages the onboarding process for prospective volunteers. Coordinates referrals and inquiries regarding becoming a hospice volunteer. Strong organizational skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills Manages volunteers annual renewal requirements to maintain compliance. Fills volunteer requests for patients in a timely manner as evidenced by completed tasks in the Electronic Medical Records to serve the needs of patients and families.
Volunteer Coordinator Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and communicate effectively. Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather Valid Driver's License with
