Job Summary:
The Housing Specialist III provides advanced, community-based support services using a Housing First framework for individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness and complex housing instability. This role includes housing navigation, advocacy, case management, landlord engagement, mentorship of staff, compliance support, and coordination with service providers. The primary work location is Beacon at Glisan Landing in Multnomah County.
Key Responsibilities:
' Manage high-acuity caseloads and conduct screenings, intake, and referrals ' Provide trauma-informed, person-centered case management and housing support ' Support housing search, landlord negotiation, lease-up, and retention ' Coordinate with healthcare, mental health, employment, and social service providers ' Mentor Housing Specialist II staff and assist with onboarding and training ' Maintain compliance with program, agency, and funder requirements ' Support HMIS documentation, audits, and quality assurance activities ' Represent the program with community partners and landlords
Qualifications:
' Bilingual Spanish required ' 3+ years of housing navigation or homelessness services experience (2+ for internal hires) ' Experience working with high-barrier or chronically homeless populations ' HMIS experience required ' Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills ' Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required ' Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted

' Fully on-site Monday'Friday ' Frequent travel throughout the Portland Metro area ' Occasional evening/weekend meetings ' Work may include supporting individuals in crisis or distress Conduct housing search assistance, landlord/property Language skill requirement or preference: This is a bilingual Spanish/English position with participants often speaking only Spanish.
