POSITION PURPOSE
To provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community. A member of the Community Treatment Team that provides community-based services to adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Will provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community. As aCertified Peer Specialist (CPS), you are first and foremost a peer - meaning that you have lived experience with mental illness and/or addition - and can serve as a role model for recovery values and principles, providing hopeful information about recovery and wellness. Will provide stage wise treatment interventions based on the consumer's stage of change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must self-identify as an individual with a serious mental illness, who is currently or formerly was a recipient of mental health services, is in the process of his/her/their recovery and has successfully completed training in illness management recovery interventions. High School Diploma or GED Current certification as a Certified Peer Specialist Valid driver license Ability to drive an organization vehicle Act 33/34/73 Clearances (Criminal/Child/FBI Department of Human Services) Pre-Employment Drug Screen Child Protective Services Law training (CPSL)

This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position. Primarily Monday through Friday daylight - hours may vary according to program need.
