Christiansburg / Roanoke (Split) Job Description The Child and Family Services Specialist will provide individualized treatment services, which could include attachment and resiliency-based interventions for services in the home and/or community, that may include, Therapeutic Mentoring, Life Skills Coaching, and Intensive In-Home services. This position may also provide support to young adults in DePaul's IL program as needed. This position provides an exciting and unique opportunity to work with adults, children, teens, young adults, and families. The individual in this position will provide comprehensive casework, which includes both case management and direct clinical services in accordance with established social work principles. The CFS Clinical Specialist will support and assist clients and families with personal, family, and social growth, while helping to empower the client and family to the highest level of self-sufficiency. This position will include providing services in the client's home, in community settings, and office-based settings. This position will be expected to provide services in the Christiansburg and Roanoke service areas. Experience and Skills Position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human services field (social work, psychology, counseling, etc.) leading to eligibility for QMHP registration with the Board of Counseling. Supervision for licensure/certification may be available for eligible applicants. Experience working with children and families preferred.
