Housing Coordinator

The Housing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting all homeless individuals and families locate permanent housing. This position is funded through a HUD grant. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Determine eligibility for housing assistance through various grants or private funding
• Interview clients and assist them to find permanent housing
• Work with landlords to secure housing
• Work with the community to overcome client barriers
• Maintain records
• Be able to update computer databases and reporting systems
• Coordinate PIT count
• Be a backup for Homeless Breakfast and Lunch
• Conduct home visits as required
• Assist with building our homeless programing This position will be expected to participate in all Family Center activities and events including fundraisers and giveaways.

They will also be expected to answer the phones and assist non homeless clients when needed.

Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience in case management preferably with homeless families/individuals
• Valid Driver's license (may require travel)
• Basic computer skills such as

Word Excel and PowerPoint Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in behavioral science or social work or related experience

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
