Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Management/Housing Specialist to support our organization's efforts in managing housing services for individuals with severe mental health conditions. This role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards, coordinating housing solutions, and providing support to a vulnerable population requiring specialized care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health needs and housing management, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities Oversee and monitor the quality of housing services provided to clients, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards. Coordinate housing placements and maintain ongoing support for individuals with severe mental health conditions. Collaborate with mental health professionals, case managers, and community partners to develop comprehensive housing plans tailored to each client's needs. Conduct regular assessments of clients' living environments to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with applicable regulations. Facilitate communication between clients, service providers, and housing authorities to address issues promptly and effectively. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, housing arrangements, and compliance documentation. Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality and client satisfaction within the housing program. Provide guidance and support to staff regarding best practices in managing housing for individuals with severe mental health needs. Skills Strong understanding of mental health issues, particularly related to severe mental illness populations. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple cases simultaneously. Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, healthcare providers, landlords, and community agencies. Knowledge of housing regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in supportive housing management. Ability to assess living environments critically and implement appropriate interventions or improvements. Compassionate approach with a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations through respectful and ethical practices. Problem-solving skills to address complex situations involving mental health challenges and housing stability.
