Hospice Volunteer Coordinator -
Hurst, TX Salary:
$50,000/year
Location:
On-site | Mon-Fri, Full-time We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to join our care team. In this role, you will recruit, train, and support volunteers who bring comfort and companionship to patients and families during one of life's most profound journeys.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers Coordinate volunteer schedules and patient assignments Provide ongoing training, support, and recognition Maintain volunteer records and compliance documentation Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team Plan volunteer appreciation events and outreach
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in social work, healthcare, or related field preferred 1+ years of volunteer management or coordination experience Experience in hospice, palliative care, or nonprofit settings a plus Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work with sensitivity around grief and end-of-life issues Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
