A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Job Description

PsychPros is currently partnering with a well respected non-profit in the Birmingham area seeking a full-time, Treatment Director. We are seeking a master's level, licensed clinician (LMSW, LPC or LCSW required ) to work with a team of dedicated clinical and non-clinical staff that to make a difference in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will be responsible for the treatment and quality of care for the youth in placement. In addition, you will be providing continuous direction, assistance and clinical oversight to the team and have fiscal responsibility for the division.
Key responsibilities to include:
Crisis intervention Oversight in placement process Participate in any rule violation reviews Review and approve treatment foster care home certifications Prepare reports in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Master's degree in counseling or social work
LMSW, LPC, LCSW
