A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Modern office setting Growth opportunities We are looking for a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in addiction medicine and be able to provide support and guidance to individuals suffering from substance abuse issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing clients, developing treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling, and working with families to ensure the best possible outcomes.Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to clients with substance abuse issues. Assess clients' needs and develop treatment plans. Case Management Provide crisis intervention services. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients. Educate clients on addiction medicine, relapse prevention, and coping skills. Conduct drug screenings and urine tests to monitor progress. Refer clients to other healthcare professionals as needed.Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
