A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Prison location:
Maricopa Re-Entry Center (Phx, 85083) SAGE Counseling's Clinician is responsible for providing therapy services within the Arizona Department of Corrections Facilities. This is a great position for someone interested in working within the prison system, facilitating substance abuse groups with inmates. The MRC facility is located in North Phx and is a transitional/housing facility for individuals re-entering the community. SAGE is contracted with AzDOC to provide substance abuse counseling on-site. This position is Full-Time - hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Qualifications:
Masters degree required Criminal Justice treatment services experience required At least 1 year of clinical services required, including group facilitation Ability to be badged for jail/prison setting required - including background check, drug test, consent to search, TB test, fingerprint clearance card SAGE is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
