A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Jails locations:
Estrella Jail
  • Phx, 85009 Watkins Jail
  • Phx, 85009 This is a Fee-For-Service (part-time) position with a flexible schedule: Multiple scheduling options: Monday/Wednesday/Friday
  • 8:30am to 10:30am Tuesday/Thursday
  • 8:30am to 10:30am Tuesday/Thursday
  • 2pm to 4pm We can also build a Full-Time schedule for you!
SAGE Counseling's Clinicians are responsible for providing therapy services in the Arizona MCSO Jails. This is a great position for someone interested in working within the criminal justice system, facilitating substance abuse groups with in-custody clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred At least 1 year of direct clinical service experience required, including group facilitation Ability to successfully pass the badging process to enter into the jails campus
