  • Full-time We are looking to add a Primary Therapist to our Clinical Team.
Candidates must be an ACSW, AMFT, or APCC who will be able to receive supervision towards licensure while working with us. Experience working with a substance abuse population, and group and individual therapy are highly desirable qualifications. Twenty plus direct therapy hours and 2 hours Supervision weekly. Must be registered and in good standing with the BBS. Excellent learning opportunity and growth potential. Job Summary Restore Health and Wellness Center, LLC, www.restorecenterla.com, is a substance abuse treatment center that provides inpatient and outpatient services. Work is performed under the supervision of the Clinical Director. The Primary Therapist is responsible for providing specialized individual and group therapies for clients whose diagnosis includes the presence of a substance use disorder. The Primary therapist is also responsible for conducting Chemical Dependency Evaluations and working closely with other treatment team members to address the client's substance use issues. Responsibilities and Duties Utilize independent judgment, strong initiative and decision Discusses with clients relapse warning signs and relapse prevention techniques and strategies and develops plans accordingly Shares pertinent information with team as obtained from clients or family throughout program Provides pertinent client information based on chemical dependency evaluation, and group and individual session interactions, to assist in the client treatment process The position is required to maintain confidential information in accordance with the HIPPA, Information Security Policy, Protocols, Procedures and CFR-42 Expected to communicate in a courteous manner at all times Conducts primarily individual sessions Responsible for the completion of projects in timely manner Conducts family counseling sessions Conducts individual counseling sessions Maintain charts/files/records Performs other related duties as assigned Attend community meetings as needed Participate in staff meetings and clinical meetings weekly Make independent decisions in the processing of routine correspondence, investigate subject matter, and prepare the response
