Job Description

Bridges Professional Treatment Services is seeking a passionate and motivated Counselor to join our treatment team.
Pay:
$25.00 to $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
Full-time Monday/Tuesday
  • 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday
  • 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Must be Registered or Certified through CCAPP, CADTP or CAADE Must pass Drug Screening/Background Check Bridges Professional Treatment Services is a well-established, highly regarded treatment provider in the Sacramento area.
Bridges offers a variety of treatment options that accommodate all levels of need and a full continuum of care. Our specialized programs include Substance Abuse Counseling, Case Management and Collaboration with Family Treatment Courts and CPS, Outpatient Treatment, Sober Living, DUI Education and Drug Diversion Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES, may include but not be limited to: Counsel's clients in individual and group sessions to assist clients in overcoming substance use disorders. Formulates and conducts programs that promote prevention of substance use disorders. Conducts crisis interventions sessions as presented. Refers client to support services as needed such as medical and mental health evaluations and other community services. Refers client to perinatal ancillary services to meet County/State requirements. Monitors progress of client to evaluate success of treatment, and adapts treatment as needed. Completes progress notes within 72hrs as required. Screens for appropriate level of treatment. Implements and monitors problem list progress in one on one sessions. Conducts Care Plans with client centered focus. Participates in staffing and case presentations. Notify the Lead/Supervising Counselors and/or, Program Manager of any problems/issues involving any program or client services/problem list. Completes all required SUD Assessments, Problem List Session, Care Plan Session, Individual and Group Notes, Documentation, Filling, Attendance and Case Load Management, within the required timeframes. Acts professionally and performs duties in a legal and ethical manner within the scope of practice Works collaboratively with intake workers in processing and scheduling new client intakes as assigned. Ability to get along and work effectively with others Required to maintain schedule as established with Supervisors and/or Program Manager. Regular attendance by counselor is required. Counselor is required to maintain registration and certifications; yearly or bi-yearly. Registered counselors are required to be certified with 2 years of date of hire. Registered counselors will need to show a forward progress toward certification if 2 year certification is not met. Other duties may be assigned at any time via verbal or written instructions.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have proof of High school Diploma or Equivalent. Must be registered or certified by one (1) of the three (3) agencies currently authorized by the State of California Alcohol and Drug Programs to certify Drug and Alcohol Counselors in State Regulations, section 13035. If registered, must provide documentation of enrollment and/or attendance in addiction studies courses. Must have knowledge of general recovery principles including 12-step programs.
